Training
•The 15-credit Ballet concentration develops anatomical awareness, dynamic alignment, core strength, balance, flexibility, musicality, artistry, and qualitative movement.
•Students study traditional and contemporary ballet forms through Ballet II–IV, Pas de Deux/Pointe, choreography, improvisation, body conditioning and somatics, plus supporting modern, jazz, and musical-theatre dance.
Performance & Productions
•Visiting artists lead masterclasses and workshops and may set repertory works for student performance.
Professional Development
•The BA includes a three-credit applied professional-skills requirement that can award academic credit for a dance internship, followed by senior seminar and senior project work.
Degree Flexibility
•Ballet specialization sits within an artist-scholar liberal-arts core that combines theoretical, practical, creative, and scholarly dance study.
