Training
•The instrumental emphasis pairs applied lessons on a primary instrument with string, woodwind, brass, and percussion methods toward PreK-12 instrumental licensure.
•Coursework includes Secondary Instrumental Methods, Marching Band Methods, and instrumental conducting.
Performance & Productions
•Instrumental students perform in the Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and (beginning Fall 2026) the Marching Band.
Professional Development
•Students gain hands-on teaching experience through KWU community partnerships before clinical practice.
