•Bullet: The 18-credit Jazz Studies minor is designed for students who already play jazz and want to expand their performance experience
•Bullet: Required study includes History of American Jazz, Beginning Improvisation, Theory and Composition of American Jazz, private lessons, four semesters of Jazz Combo, and four semesters of Jazz Ensemble
•Bullet: One elective adds Advanced Improvisation, Jazz Arranging I–II, Jazz Pedagogy, or Jazz Piano

•Bullet: Repeated combo and large-ensemble participation keeps improvisation, theory, history, and applied study connected to live performance
