Training
•The BA combines eight semesters of applied study with a four-course theory sequence, Western art-music history, keyboard proficiency, ensembles, and upper-division electives.
•Students choose advanced work in Romanticism, modern and contemporary music, instrumental music, music and the stage, counterpoint, form and analysis, or orchestration.
Degree Flexibility
•Illinois Wesleyan identifies the BA as its most flexible music curriculum for students pursuing a double major, study abroad, or internships.
Performance & Productions
•The degree includes ensemble participation, colloquia, and six semesters of experiencing live concert repertoire.
