•Bullet: The BA combines eight semesters of applied study with a four-course theory sequence, Western art-music history, keyboard proficiency, ensembles, and upper-division electives.
•Bullet: Students choose advanced work in Romanticism, modern and contemporary music, instrumental music, music and the stage, counterpoint, form and analysis, or orchestration.
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Illinois Wesleyan identifies the BA as its most flexible music curriculum for students pursuing a double major, study abroad, or internships.
