Audition Process
•Step 1: Apply to IUP and be accepted academically
•Step 2: Register for an on-campus audition via the IUP audition portal
•Auditions are scheduled on multiple dates in the fall and spring semesters
•Auditions take place in person
Piano Placement Test
•Students with prior piano study complete a brief piano placement test as part of the audition
•Play a few phrases of a memorized or notated piece, two white-key major scales (2 octaves, hands together), and sight-read a few bars of easy piano music
•Piano majors and those with no piano background are exempt
