•Study with a professor who specializes in your instrument within a faculty of more than 30 full- and part-time artist-teachers
•Build a brass-focused course of study across trumpet/cornet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba
•Join large and chamber ensembles that develop ensemble precision, blend, and projection
Performance & Productions
•Perform in regionally recognized ensembles and present solo, chamber, and large-ensemble work
•Work with resident conductors, visiting artists, and fully staged operatic and musical productions
Facilities
•Rehearse in Cogswell Hall and perform in Fisher Auditorium and Gorell Recital Hall
•Use practice rooms, faculty studios, classrooms, a computer lab with audio software, and a vast music library
Degree Flexibility
•The BFA Music Performance curriculum prepares students for graduate study and optional teaching experience in the IUP Community Music School
