Prescreen Requirements
Dance
TWO SELF-CHOREOGRAPHED SOLOS - each 60-90 seconds
•One (1) solo must be set to music and be character or narrative driven
•One (1) solo of a contrasting quality to the first
•This solo may be set to music or not
•Examples of contrasting qualities include time, space, genre, and theme, as well as fast tempo vs. slow tempo, sharp vs. smooth, gestural vs. fully body, and stationary vs. travelling
Additional Materials
•A brief resume that includes experiences in recent years that you believe would be helpful as the starting point for a conversation
•A current HEADSHOT or recent photo, so we can recognize you at your audition (does not need to be a professional photograph)

INDIVIDUAL SOLO PERFORMANCE:
•Applicants perform one solo from prescreen (their choice of which one)
•Same self-choreographed requirements as prescreen
Additional Materials
THREE-PART AUDITION AND INTERVIEW:
•Part 1: DANCE CLASS led by Dance faculty
•Part 2: Individual SOLO PERFORMANCE (one solo from prescreen)
•Part 3: Short INTERVIEW with Dance faculty member

APPLICATION PROCESS
•Submit BOTH the Common App or Coalition App AND the Acceptd application by the December 1 deadline
•Applications can be submitted in any order, but both must be received by deadline
•Prescreen materials will not be evaluated until all materials are received
NO EARLY ACTION
•The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance does not offer Early Action for this program
UNIFIED AUDITIONS
•Live auditions also held at Unified Auditions (NYC, Chicago, LA)

What's The Process
PRESCREEN:
•Prescreen decisions typically released 3-4 weeks from submission date
•Review filming guidelines before uploading
•No walk-ins — must complete application and prescreen process
LIVE AUDITION:
•Three-part process: dance class, solo performance, faculty interview
•Applicants choose one solo from prescreen to perform
•Locations: Ithaca College campus (morning) or Zoom (afternoon)
•No preference given to in-person vs. Zoom
•Regular Decision is not rolling — decisions between March 1 and April 15
