•The Piano Pedagogy Certificate of Proficiency is a one-year, part-time Fast Track Career Path requiring 12–12.5 units.
•Semester one centers on MUS 255 Beginning Piano Pedagogy plus 3–3.5 units chosen from Music Major List A.
•Semester two advances to MUS 256 Intermediate and Advanced Piano Pedagogy plus two 1.5-unit Music Major List A selections.
Professional Development
•The two-course pedagogy sequence progresses from beginning teaching foundations to intermediate and advanced piano-pedagogy study.
•The selectable Music Major coursework lets students pair teaching preparation with additional study from IVC's music curriculum.
