Training
•Two-year AS housed in IVC's Theater Arts department, which teaches technical theater alongside theater design, acting, directing, and musical theater
•Design coursework spans Stage Lighting Design, Introduction to Design, and Costume and Scenic Design
•Rehearsal & Performance courses each semester build production hours toward the degree
•Faculty assist with portfolio development for university transfer
Performance & Productions
•Department stages four to five shows per year — typically one musical and one play each semester
•Students crew live productions as stagehands, dressers, makeup technicians, lighting operators, and audio/video technicians, plus set and costume construction

•Performing Arts Center opened fall 2007, designed by architecture firm Arquitectonica
•Rezanoor Stage — 365-seat mainstage with a single-level balcony
•Studio Theatre — black-box studio with full mainstage technical capability

Degree Flexibility
•Coursework fulfills lower-division transfer requirements for UC/CSU campuses
•Graduates commonly transfer to UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, and Chapman University
