Training
•The four-semester AA plan moves from Stage Lighting Design and Introduction to Design into costume or scenic design, with acting, theatre appreciation, and rehearsal/performance coursework.
•Entertainment Technology instruction covers scenery construction, audio equipment, rigging, programmable lighting controllers, sound consoles, and shop tools.
Performance & Productions
•Students contribute to live productions at the IVC Performing Arts Center as designers and technicians.
Professional Development
•Support includes portfolio development, industry résumé and interview coaching, local internships, touring-show assistance, and employment pathways as IVC stage technicians.
Degree Flexibility
•The 60–63-unit AA combines theatre study with IVC general education and preparation for transfer to UC/CSU campuses.
