•Study at the Voxman Music Building, a state-of-the-art performance home in downtown Iowa City
•One-on-one lessons with area faculty plus weekly studio classes and performance seminars
•Extensive ensemble opportunities across orchestra, band, chamber music, and new music
•Damani Phillips, William Menefield, Michael D’Angelo, and Curtis Taylor cover saxophone, piano, percussion, and trumpet in jazz studies.
•At least two big bands, Black Popular Music Ensemble, and three to six combos operate each semester, with a capstone recording project at master’s level.
