PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•Accredited by National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) and University/Resident Theatre Association (U/RTA)
•Trains students for the new era of Broadway performance exemplified by Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and Come From Away
TRAINING
•Mission to produce professional musical theatre artists whose voice, acting, and dance training empowers them to be nimble performer-auteurs
•Faculty of artist-teachers works within context of liberal arts education
•Program accepts 12-15 admissions each year providing focused individual attention
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Department produces two musicals and six plays each year in main season, plus two musicals and a play during IU Summer Theatre season
•Home to IU Broadway Cabaret, a touring musical theatre ensemble
•Students routinely cast in summer productions at The St. Louis MUNY Opera, Maine State Music Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, and other professional venues
NOTABLE ALUMNI
•Elizabeth Stanley (B.S.O.F. 2002) received TONY nomination for Jagged Little Pill
•Alumni working in Hamilton National Tours, Frozen National Tour, Mean Girls National Tour, Jersey Boys film, and Tokyo Disney

•Sibling program pairs freshmen with sophomore or junior students for mentorship
•Located in Lee Norvelle Theatre and Drama Center with state-of-the-art performance spaces
