Repertoire List

Piano repertoire: one prelude and fugue from J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier

Piano repertoire: first movement of a Classical sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven

Piano repertoire: a Romantic work demonstrating considerable technical ability

Memorization: all music performed from memory

Apply to IU South Bend and submit a separate music audition application

The audition application is a PDF form from the Music department website

Submit the audition application at least two weeks before your chosen audition date

Placement

Admitted students complete a music theory and music history placement assessment the week before classes start — for course placement only, not admission
