Training
•Bullet: The Music Performance focus has students identify a vocal or instrumental performance medium in their first year and perform in a recital every semester.
•Bullet: Four sequential levels of Theory, Sight Singing & Ear Training run as co-requisites, with applied-lesson fees waived for students concurrently enrolled.
•Bullet: The focus is designed for transfer as a junior into a four-year music program, or direct entry into performance-related employment after the AA.
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Students perform in Chorale, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Drum Line, and Athletic Band.
•Bullet: Freshman- and sophomore-year students can receive featured solos, rather than waiting until senior year as at many four-year programs.
