•Bullet: Minor for dance majors and theatre majors in the acting concentration who want to expand their performance skills with an emphasis in musical theatre
•Bullet: Required coursework includes two semesters of Voice (MUSC 105), Musicianship I (MUS 107), and Lyric Theatre Dance (DANC 209) or Musical Theater Dance (DANC 212)
•Bullet: Electives include LTI Studio, LTI Main Stage, English Diction and Dialects, Musical Theatre Repertoire, and Senior Project Showcase
•Bullet: 19 minimum credit hours for dance majors and 20 for acting majors, including prerequisites in music theory, Singing in Musical Theatre, and acting or dance
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Students perform in joint Dance and Lyric Theatre productions at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, mentored by musical theater artists
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Pairs with the BA or BFA in Dance or the BFA Theatre acting concentration; the Department of Dance describes a dance major combined with this minor as preparation for careers in musical theater and commercial dance
