•Dual degree combines dance performance, choreography, and history with the study of human anatomy and kinesiology applied to dance
•Requires 158 university credit hours; students must pass the dance audition and gain admission to both the College of Fine and Applied Arts and the College of Applied Health Sciences
•Kinesiology core in human movement plus a dance-specific correlate area of study
Performance & Productions
•Dance training and showings take place at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts with seven dedicated dance studios
Professional Development
•Prepares graduates for dance education, physical and occupational therapy, athletic training, injury prevention, somatics, and physiology
Degree Flexibility
•Earn both the BA in Dance and BS in Kinesiology; option for K-12 Physical Education teaching licensure with a Dance endorsement plus Yoga certification
•Senior-year BA capstone project synthesizes both majors
