Important Notes

•Instrumental music education is the catalog specialization for students preparing to teach instrumental music

•Admitted students may take theory, aural-skills and piano placement exams for course placement, not admission

•Transfer students receive LHSOM advising and should review how prior music credits apply

Transfer Pathway

LHSOM provides transfer advising and typically accepts music credits from NASM-accredited institutions; the Instrumental Music Education specialization remains subject to the school’s placement and audition process.
