Audition Process
•Section A interview: approximately 10 minutes discussing experience, aspirations, course fit, and career goals
•Section B performance: approximately 5 minutes for the prepared contrasting performances
•Section C skills profile: approximately 15 minutes demonstrating core skills aligned to the primary discipline
•Undergraduate performance auditions are generally 45 minutes long
Audition Expectations
•Skills profile may cover scales and chords, singing in harmony, playing to a metronome, improvisation, chart interpretation, rudiments/sticking, or aural recognition
•If playback is needed, bring audio on a phone, tablet, laptop, or similar device and download it in advance
•ICMP can plug playback devices into speaker systems if accompaniment is needed
•Online auditions are primarily for international applicants and take place over Zoom
