Audition Process
•Bullet: Section A interview: approximately 10 minutes discussing experience, aspirations, course fit, and career goals
•Bullet: Section B performance: approximately 5 minutes for the two prepared contrasting pieces
•Bullet: Section C skills profile: approximately 15 minutes demonstrating core skills for the primary discipline
•Bullet: Arrive, or log in, at least fifteen minutes early and test any links beforehand
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Skills profile may cover scales and chords, singing in harmony, playing to a metronome, improvisation, chart interpretation, rudiments and sticking, or aural recognition
•Bullet: You are not expected to complete every exercise to be offered a place
•Bullet: Bring headphones, in-ear monitors, and ear plugs if you have them; auditions can be loud
•Bullet: For Zoom auditions, set Zoom audio to Live Performance Audio (Original Sound) so the tutor can hear the performance properly
•Bullet: Bring your instrument only; amps are provided
•Bullet: If you need a backing track, add it to a public shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive) as a clickable link
•Bullet: Folders are for your preparation; there is no need to send them in advance
