Distinguished Artist Award (Daa)
•$3,000 per year ($12,000 over four years)
•Up to 60 DAA scholarships awarded annually across art, dance, music, theatre, and creative writing
•Open to incoming first-year and transfer students
•Recipients must major or minor in theatre
Performance Audition
•Two contrasting monologues, each no more than 2 minutes
•One monologue may be replaced with or supplemented by a song (max 1 minute/16 bars)
•Accompanist provided on DAA Day; alternate dates require recorded accompaniment
•Total audition should be no more than 5 minutes
Design/Tech/Stage Management
•Portfolio presentation with designs, art work, production photos, prompt books
Interview
•All candidates have an interview with theatre faculty
•All candidates must have visited campus prior to DAA Day
Deadline
•Application and resume due February 23 at 11:59 p.m.
