PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•Named one of "The Top 30 College Dance Programs for 2019–2020" by OnStageBlog.com
•Students must participate in MOVOM (the Modern Dance Club) each semester
•Three degree options: BFA (performance/choreography focus), BA (liberal arts integration), BS in Dance Education (NYS certification eligible)
TRAINING
•Modern/contemporary dance with a strong ballet component, supported by African, Irish, tap, jazz, and hip-hop genres
•Proximity to New York City enriches the curriculum and enables access to nationally and internationally known faculty and guest artists
•Students encouraged to visit NYC often for performances, classes, and auditions
•Recent mainstage productions featured guest artists Doug Varone, Sean Curran, Larry Keigwin, Claire Porter, David Parker, Earl Mosley, and Liz Gerring
•Students have performed reconstructions by Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Trisha Brown, Eleo Pomare, and Anna Sokolow
•Students have won accolades at the American College Dance Festival
