•Audition is for scholarship consideration only, not required for program admission
•All HSU students are eligible for talent-based performance scholarships, regardless of major
Audition Format
•Three components: voice audition, interview, and skills assessment
•Short interview about your interest in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree
•Aural skills, sight-singing, and rhythm assessment
•Music theory/aural perception diagnostic exam (diagnostic only, does not impact scholarship eligibility)
Virtual Option
•April audition date offers a virtual option
•Submit solo piece via unlisted YouTube or Google Drive link to Dr. Barranco (barranj@hsu.edu) two days prior to audition date
•Virtual interview and aural skills test will be scheduled separately
