Repertoire List (Required)

•List solo repertoire, etudes, and relevant technical exercises studied in the past year

•Instrumentalists: three contrasting works from at least two historical periods

•Vocalists: three contrasting works from at least two historical periods; two in a foreign language

•Music Education applicants must successfully audition for entry into the major

Transfer Pathway

SUNY Broome AS Music graduates have a published 2+2 pathway into Hartwick's BS Music Education with junior standing when criteria are met. The agreement is designed to include student teaching within four years, with Hartwick auditions and interviews conducted on the SUNY Broome campus.

Audition Expectations

•Live audition required for entry into the Music Education major

•On-campus experience includes a faculty interview, aural skills/written theory evaluation, facilities tour, and performance evaluation

•Students may attend a published on-campus audition day or request private audition dates

•Spring-start students should select an audition date before mid-January

•Hartwick provides an accompanist free of charge if needed

•Email, fax, or mail accompanist music at least three weeks before the audition
