•Shared AA core develops acting, script analysis, theatre history, design, and production skills
•Theatre Emphasis electives include Acting II, Directing, Chicano Theatre, Theatre for Social Change, Children’s Theatre, and Playwriting and Screenwriting
•Acting for the Camera is available within the theatre elective list
Performance & Productions
•Students complete production or technical-design coursework in areas such as scenic construction, costuming, lighting and sound, makeup and hair, or play production
•Hartnell’s Center for Performing Arts supports live stage training and public performance
Professional Development
•Hartnell partners with The Western Stage, a professional resident theatre company
•Students can develop their craft in a professional production context while completing the college’s open-admission AA pathway
