Training
•BFA affiliated with The Hartt School's renowned actor training and music theatre programs
•Students assigned to work on performances across all disciplines: theatre, opera, instrumental, and dance
•Work with in-house professional production crew and directors/designers from across the country
•Courses in communication, performing arts management, behavioral studies, and business — not just technical theatre
•Required 6-credit internship with supervised field work in a professional organization (minimum 20 hours/week)
•Training progresses from classroom projects and black box theatre to fully staged main productions
Professional Development
•Partnership with NETworks Presentations LLC, an industry leader producing and managing numerous domestic and international touring Broadway productions
•NETworks Scholarship awarded annually to up to four stage management and technical theatre students
•Professional relationships with Hartford Stage Company, Theaterworks of Hartford, and Goodspeed Musicals
