Framing
•Bullet: Songs and monologues: waist-up frame recommended
•Bullet: Dance and ballet: full-body frame — keep the entire person visible at all times
Filming
•Bullet: Each piece filmed and uploaded as a separate video file — no continuous videos
•Bullet: Landscape orientation recommended
•Bullet: Camera at eye level — use a tripod, stack of books, or similar support
•Bullet: Performance videos recommended to be 60–90 seconds each
Lighting & Audio
•Bullet: Keep the light source behind the recording device or to the side — avoid a lamp or window directly behind you
•Bullet: When using prerecorded music, place the speaker closer to you than to the recording device for balanced sound
•Bullet: Do a trial run to test both audio and visual presentation
•Bullet: Solid-colored walls are ideal; any non-distracting background is acceptable
Labeling
•Bullet: Label each song file with the song title, musical or show, and your full name
•Bullet: Label each monologue file with the play title, playwright, and your full name
