•BA preparing students for professional teacher licensure in Arkansas to teach theatre at the secondary level (grades 7-12)
•Pairs theatre coursework with classroom methods and supervised field experience leading to certification
Performance & Productions
•Department stages roughly seven fully staged productions each season, giving future teachers directing and stage-management experience
•Pied Pipers, Harding's children's improvisational theatre troupe, performs 60+ times a year and tours nationally and internationally for more than 16,000 children annually
•Education majors gain experience on signature campus productions including the Homecoming musical, Spring Sing revue, and Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre (36,000+ patrons each season)

•Elizabeth Mae Yielding (BA Drama/Speech Licensure, 2012) — built the Heber Springs (AR) high-school theatre program and now leads theatre professional development for the Arkansas Department of Education
