•Bullet: BA preparing students for K-12 professional teacher licensure in Arkansas to teach drama and speech at the elementary and/or secondary level
•Bullet: Combines theatre and oral-communication coursework with classroom field experience and directing practice
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Department stages roughly seven fully staged productions each season, giving education majors directing and teaching reps
•Bullet: Pied Pipers, Harding's children's improvisational theatre troupe, performs 60+ times a year — touring nationally and internationally for more than 16,000 children annually
•Bullet: Students also work on signature campus events including the Homecoming musical, the Spring Sing musical revue, and Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre, with productions drawing 36,000+ patrons each season
Notable Alumni
•Bullet: Elizabeth Mae Yielding (BA Drama/Speech Licensure, 2012) — built the Heber Springs (AR) high-school theatre program from the ground up and now leads theatre professional development for the Arkansas Department of Education
