Program Recognition
•Hanover describes the choral program as nationally recognized, with ACDA Central Division and Indiana Music Educator Association conference appearances.
•The program is directed by Dr. Madlen Batchvarova, a GRAMMY Award-winning conductor and ACDA national chair for world musics and cultures.
Training
•Singers can develop in Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Hanover College Ringers, Voice/Piano Studios, and private voice study.
•The voice studio emphasizes healthy vocal technique, expressive performance, and repertoire that includes art song, opera, oratorio, and Bulgarian/Eastern European vocal traditions.
Performance & Productions
•Concert Choir and Chamber Singers perform on campus, at professional and civic events, and on regional and international tours.
•Signature events include Christmas at Hanover; students also perform as soloists, in recitals, studio masterclasses, and interdisciplinary events.
Professional Development
•Ensembles build musicianship, leadership, community, collaboration, and small-ensemble independence.
