Corcoran Scholars Only - Music Audition

Submit the Music Audition Application in SlideRoom by January 5, 2027

Instrument-specific audition guidelines apply for jazz/popular music, piano, strings, voice, woodwinds/brass, bagpipes, guitar/percussion, and composers/producers

Vocalists perform three selections from memory; two may be classical/art music, one must be in a foreign language, and one may be pop/jazz/musical theater repertoire

In-person voice candidates send sheet music to the GW Music Program at least one week before the audition and bring originals

Corcoran Scholars

Awards are granted to first-year undergraduate applicants through an audition or portfolio review during the GW application process

Awards are renewable for up to 12 consecutive semesters with continuous full-time study and good academic standing
