Performance & Productions
•Required junior and senior recitals anchor the degree, with juried recital hearings about four weeks before each public performance.
•Ensemble options include College Choir, Lumina Treble Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, String Ensemble, Concert Band, and Orchestra.
•The department hosts concerts, weekly repertoire classes, and monthly Midday Musicales.
Professional Development
•A Career Development Seminar prepares majors for graduate study or a music career.
•Guilford reports music alumni pursuing graduate study at Peabody, Eastman, Yale, Berklee, San Francisco Conservatory, Cincinnati CCM, Florida State, Westminster Choir College, USC, Shenandoah, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
