Training
•The interdisciplinary 40-credit major builds experience in acting, directing, design, stagecraft, playwriting, theatre history, and production.
•Students can tailor 15 elective credits toward their performance, production, or creative goals.
Performance & Productions
•Grand View stages four productions each year in the Viking Theatre.
•Majors work on productions from the beginning of the program, both onstage and backstage.
Professional Development
•Students participate in the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and Grand View's Alpha Psi Omega chapter.
•Internship and special-topics coursework support professional exploration and graduate-school preparation.
Degree Flexibility
•Theatre Arts and Musical Theatre minors provide additional options for students pursuing another major.
