Accompaniment

A staff pianist is provided for vocalists; bring copies of your repertoire

Good to Know

Placement Tests

Entering first-year and transfer students take a theory placement exam on audition day for course placement only; it is not an admission requirement.

Students with two or more years of piano may optionally take a keyboard musicianship placement exam.

Transfer Pathway

GVSU's current GRCC music articulation agreement guarantees specific music course credit for Associate of Music or AA Music graduates after admission, juried audition, and transcript review. BA/BS Music transfer students also follow MTD's music audition and placement-review process.
