Application Logistics

•Dance scholarship auditions are optional for admission to Goucher and the Dance major.

•Goucher has not published the next dance scholarship audition cycle; check the Dance Scholarship Auditions page for future dates and registration.

•Apply to Goucher through Common App for regular admission.

•When Goucher publishes the scholarship cycle, submit its Dance Scholarship Application after the college application.

•Eligible scholarship applicants choose an in-person, video, or Dancewave audition.

Enrollment

•All students take a placement class during Fall Orientation to determine technique level.

•Placement assigns class level only; it is not an admission requirement.

Transfer Pathway

BA Dance transfer applicants use Goucher's published transfer process, including a preliminary credit evaluation with admission and review of eligible coursework for transfer. Students with a qualifying associate degree may use the Goucher Transfer Guarantee for general education and foreign-language credit.

Dance Talent Scholarships

•$1,000-$10,000 per year (potential total: $4,000-$40,000 over four years)

•Awarded based on scholarship application, audition, and dance faculty recommendation

•Available to all first-year applicants planning to major in dance

•Renewable each year for up to 8 semesters with full-time enrollment as a dance major in good academic standing

•Awarded in addition to any other merit scholarship
