SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION OPTIONS
•Choose one: in-person class audition, video submission, or Dancewave
IN-PERSON AUDITION
•Take a master class with Goucher dance faculty
•Opportunity to have lunch with current Goucher dancers and tour campus
VIDEO AUDITION
•Submit a dance video recording by the video deadline
•See video audition guidelines on the dance scholarship page for specifications

APPLICATION PROCESS
•Apply to Goucher via Common App
•No application fee
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
•Complete the Dance Scholarship Application after submitting Common App
•Must confirm audition type: in-person, video, or Dancewave
•Common App must be submitted by January 15, 2026 for scholarship eligibility
ENROLLMENT
•Fall enrollment for first-year students
•Spring admission available with December 1 deadline
What's The Process
ADMISSION
•No audition required to major or minor in dance
•All admitted students may take dance courses at their placed level
SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION
•Optional audition for dance talent scholarships ($1,000-$10,000/year)
•Three formats: in-person, video submission, or Dancewave
•Dancewave auditionees do not need to re-audition
•Results communicated by email in late February
PLACEMENT
•All students take a placement class during Fall Orientation to determine technique level
•Placement is for class level assignment only — not for admission
Scholarship Info
DANCE TALENT SCHOLARSHIPS
•$1,000-$10,000 per year (potential total: $4,000-$40,000 over four years)
•Awarded based on scholarship application, audition, and dance faculty recommendation
•Available to all first-year applicants planning to major in dance
•Renewable each year for up to 8 semesters with full-time enrollment as a dance major in good academic standing
•Awarded in addition to any other merit scholarship

RESTRICTIONS
