•The Jazz emphasis combines eight credits of applied music and shared recital attendance with Jazz and Blues in America, introductory jazz improvisation, and approved ensemble work.
•The curriculum establishes a compact sequence in jazz language, style, listening, and performance.
Performance & Productions
•Students select Jazz Ensemble or appropriate Chamber Ensembles while continuing individual or small-group applied study.
•The 16-credit structure gives non-majors a focused jazz-performance route without duplicating the full BM Jazz concentration.
