Training
•The 21-credit minor combines aural skills, theory, keyboard study, applied lessons, ensemble participation, and recital attendance.
•Students select applied music from voice, keyboard, woodwind, brass, strings, percussion, composition, or music technology with advisor approval.
Degree Flexibility
•The curriculum supplies a broad conservatory-style foundation for students whose primary degree is elsewhere at Mason.
•Required ensemble and applied credits keep the minor performance-centered, while theory and listening courses establish common musical language.
