•18-credit minor focused on the philosophies, history, and culture of dance across the global diaspora, open to non-majors
•Required core pairs DANC 101 Dance Appreciation and DANC 118 Global Dance Perspectives I with MUSI 103 Musics of the World, integrating ethnomusicology with dance study
•Students must complete two different dance cultures, with electives including Global Dance Perspectives II, Global Dance Intensive, and MUSI 303 Topics in Ethnomusicology; 8 credits must be unique to the minor
•Satisfies a Mason Core Global or Fine Arts requirement
Performance & Productions
•School of Dance hosts a guest-artist residency series and master classes with visiting contemporary choreographers, performing in the adjacent 2,000-seat Concert Hall
