•18-credit minor through Mason's School of Dance, open to non-majors and built on a DANC 101 Dance Appreciation + DANC 118 Global Dance Perspectives I core
•Requires demonstrated technique in both modern dance and ballet — a minimum 3 credits in each — drawing from Modern/Contemporary I-II, Ballet I-II, and Jazz I-II
•Breadth electives include Dance in Popular Culture, Global Dance Intensive, and Advanced Jazz Dance; 8 credits must be unique to the minor
Performance & Productions
•School of Dance runs a guest-artist residency series and master classes with visiting contemporary choreographers, with performances in the adjacent 2,000-seat Concert Hall
Facilities
•Four sun-filled studios plus a conditioning lab and treatment room staffed by a full-time athletic trainer in the deLaski Performing Arts Building
