•Brass study connects applied work with wind, symphonic, orchestral, or jazz ensemble options and the keyboard or technique requirements published for this emphasis.
•The path retains the shared BM core in aural skills, theory, keyboard proficiency, recital attendance, musical communication, and music history while making the published brass emphasis visible to applicants.
•The Composition: Brass Emphasis keeps original composition at the center while requiring both a three-to-four-work portfolio and a primary-area performance audition.
•Brass applicants use the published winds, brass, strings, and keyboard framework: two contrasting selections totaling about ten minutes, plus sight-reading and a brief aural check.
