Scales & Technique
•Cello: all major scales (slurring 2 or 4), arpeggios (slurring 3 or 6)
•String Bass: 2-3 octave major scales (appropriate to skill level), slurring groups of 4
•Guitar: 2 and 3 octave major scales and arpeggios
•Violin, Viola, and Harp: scales not required
Repertoire - Violin & Viola
•One movement of a concerto, preferably from memory
•One unaccompanied solo piece from any time period
•One etude
Repertoire - Cello
•First or last movement of a standard cello concerto (Haydn, Saint-Saens, Elgar, or Lalo), preferably from memory
•Contrasting movements of Bach, Six Suites for Solo Cello
•One standard etude (Popper, Duport, Piatti, Lee Book II, or Dotzauer Book II or above)
Repertoire - String Bass
•One etude (Storch-Hrabe, Sturm, Simandl, Rossi, or similar)
•First movement of a standard concerto (Dragonetti, Dittersdorf, Capuzzi, Koussevitzky, Vanhal, or Bottesini)
•A contrasting solo of choice; memorization is not required
Repertoire - Guitar
•An etude by Sor, Carcassi, Tarrega, or equivalent
•A solo work from the 17th or 18th century
•A solo work from the 19th or 20th century
Repertoire - Harp
•One etude from Pozzoli, "Etudes of Medium Difficulty" (number 20 or above)
•Three compositions demonstrating contrasting styles; memorization is encouraged but not required
