Program Recognition
•Maskrafters is the oldest continuously operating collegiate theatre group in Kentucky.
•The program participates in Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre honorary.
Training
•Students study acting for stage and screen, scenic design and stagecraft, directing, filmmaking, and theatre and film history.
•A dedicated black box theatre and film-production opportunities support original work for stage and screen.
Performance & Productions
•Students may participate in Maskrafters productions, student productions, department readings and performances, and the Georgetown College Film Club.
Professional Development
•Georgetown reports that more than 90% of majors work in the field or enter graduate school within a year of graduation.
•Maskrafters Academy members participate in productions, attend professional workshops and festivals, complete a related internship, and receive support for a senior directing or filmmaking project.
