These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Songs

One Song

•Prepare one memorized song.

•The song may be from any repertoire.

•You will sing without accompaniment.

Monologues

Two Contrasting Monologues

•Prepare two memorized contrasting monologues.

•One monologue must be classical repertoire from 1575-1700; the other should be contemporary material from after 1900.

•Monologues must be from published plays; stories, poetry, movies, TV or self-written material are not acceptable.

•Each monologue must not exceed 1.5 minutes.

•Choose contrasting material that shows different sides of your personality.

•International applicants apply through the George Brown Polytechnic online application system.
