•Covers acting, voice lessons, audition technique, and dance for musical theatre
Curriculum
•11-credit sequence across five required courses
•Required courses include Fundamentals of Acting, Applied Music Voice Lessons, Audition Techniques, and Dance for Musical Theatre
•Students practice choosing audition material, writing an actor/singer resume, preparing songs, and following musical theatre dance combinations
Format & Pathway
•Offered in person at the Batavia campus
•GCC identifies it as the only Musical Theatre Micro-Credential offered by a SUNY school
•Credits can apply toward a Theatre Arts associate degree or other GCC pathways
