•Bullet: Brass, wind and strings: prepare two contrasting works that show musical and technical ability
◦Sub-bullet: Choose one faster work demonstrating facility and one slower lyrical work demonstrating musicianship
•Bullet: Percussion: present work in the areas that best show your current proficiency
•Bullet: Keyboard percussion: two-mallet solo or etude; four-mallet solo or etude using Burton or Stevens grip
•Bullet: Snare drum: one concert solo and one rudimental solo
•Bullet: Drum set: three bars of time followed by a one-bar solo, returning to the original feel; demonstrate as many feels as possible
•Bullet: Timpani: perform a solo or excerpt and demonstrate tuning before and during the selection
Scales & Technique
•Bullet: Brass, wind and strings: perform two favorite major or minor scales across your maximum controllable range and the chromatic scale
•Bullet: Keyboard percussion: include two three-octave scales with the two-mallet selection
