Scholarship Audition
•Honors Music Scholarship audition is for scholarship consideration only
•Audition is not required for program admission
•Audition is performed on the applicant’s primary applied instrument or voice
•Specific repertoire and technical requirements are published by the Department of Music for each instrument (voice, band/orchestra, piano, guitar, organ)
Audition Format
•Auditions held in O. Max Gardner Hall
•Total audition time is roughly one hour
-30 minutes to warm up and/or rehearse with the staff accompanist
-30 minutes for the audition
•Video audition accepted for those living a great distance away (must arrange with the Department of Music)
Additional Audition Elements
•Vocalizing or sight-reading and pitch-matching included, depending on the applied instrument
