Monologues

One Contemporary Monologue

Must be from a published play

Prescreen Requirements

Two contrasting dance videos; each video recommended to be 60-90 seconds

Dance 1: Jazz or Contemporary

One jazz or contemporary dance piece

Dance 2: Ballet

Separate ballet video/combination including plié, tendu, grand battement, pirouettes en dehors, and grand jeté

Dance 2: Ballet

Execute a brief series of plié, tendu and grande battement; and also pirouette en déhors (to both sides), and grand jeté across the floor

Wildcard / Special SkillOptional

This can be anything that lets us get to know you a little better. It can be sharing something you love to do like cooking or a craft or demonstrating a special skill like juggling, tennis, a magic act, or an instrument. Be creative and have fun. 60-90 seconds.

Application Logistics

Submit the FSU Application or Common App first, then complete the program supplement in the Admissions Portal

Music Theatre Supplemental Application will be added to your Application Checklist within 1-2 hours of submitting your FSU application

Early Action is not required to access the supplement; submitting the university application is the prerequisite

Complete the supplemental application and prescreen by December 1; allow time for portal access after submitting the university application

Eligibility

Fall enrollment only

Prescreen submissions reviewed on a rolling basis beginning November 1

Early Action: Florida residents only; university application deadline October 15

Regular Decision: available to all first-year applicants, including applicants outside Florida; university application deadline December 1

Early Decision: this program is not eligible for FSU's binding Early Decision plan

Accompanist provided free of charge for on-campus auditions

Scholarship Info
