Audition Process
•Bullet: In-person audition on designated School of Music Audition Day
•Bullet: Registration uses the School of Music Audition Form; the form is currently not accepting responses
•Bullet: Open to high school, transfer, and graduate students who have applied to Fresno State for 2027-28
•Bullet: Two classical solo songs (no choral solos or parts), one must be in a language other than English
•Bullet: One song may also be a folk song or musical theater piece
•Bullet: All songs memorized and sung with piano accompaniment
•Bullet: Accompaniment provided by collaborative pianist Dr. Drew Quiring
•Bullet: Ascending and descending major scale
•Bullet: Sight-singing excerpt and pitch matching exercise
•Bullet: Written music theory diagnostic (note identification, key signatures, rhythmic values, rhythm identification, melodic dictation)
