Training
•Instrumental students take private instruction on their primary instrument every semester, completing at least eight units with four upper-division units
•The BA core spans four levels of music theory and aural skills plus music history, conducting, music technology and masterclass
•FPU evaluates progress on the primary instrument through an annual performance jury during finals week
Performance & Productions
•Symphonic Band is one of four listed two-unit ensemble options, alongside Worship Team, Musical Theater and Concert Choir
•Music majors complete at least 16 ensemble units and perform in a student recital each semester while enrolled in lessons
•The degree culminates in a senior performance recital or composition project
Professional Development
•Electives include Scoring and Arranging, High Performance Practices and Career Development
•Internship study can connect classroom training with performance, teaching, church ministry or recording-industry work
