Application Logistics

Apply through Franklin College's undergraduate application or the Common App.

Franklin reviews applications on a rolling basis.

Submit a completed application by Dec. 1 for maximum aid consideration.

Prospective music majors must receive music faculty permission before formally declaring the major.

Transfer Pathway

Instrumental Emphasis transfer students can apply evaluated equivalent coursework toward the BA Music. Franklin may require a formal audition before a transfer student declares Music, and faculty permission is required.

Audition Process

Contact the Music Department to schedule a music department scholarship audition.

Scholarship audition information is handled by Christine Morris at 317.738.8271 or cmorris@FranklinCollege.edu.

Transfer students may be asked to give a formal audition before declaring the Music major.

Music Scholarship Audition

Music scholarships are audition-based and available to students regardless of major.

Music Achievement Awards ($1,000-$2,500/year) and Music Performance Awards ($500-$1,000/year) are limited tuition-based awards assigned by audition.

Scholarship recipients must participate in ensembles and may be required to take applied lessons.

Scholarships are awarded first-come, first-served; schedule the audition as soon as possible.
