Training
•Instrumental students choose applied piano, guitar, woodwind, brass, string, or percussion study.
•Literature and pedagogy requirements include Percussion Ensemble, Woodwind Methods and Pedagogy, Brass Methods and Pedagogy, and Survey of Band and Orchestra Literature.
•All Music majors complete theory, aural skills, conducting, music history, applied study, and a senior recital.
Performance & Productions
•Instrumentalists complete Franklin College Band, String Ensemble, or Percussion Ensemble plus a vocal or choral ensemble requirement.
•Music students perform through recitals, master classes, seminars, and department concerts.
Professional Development
•Music majors complete a senior portfolio plus an internship or senior project requirement.
